Patient Experience Concierge

Are you interested in a dynamic position that offers you a chance to make a tangible difference in the day-to-day lives of both patients and medical healthcare providers — while also enjoying the creative environment, energy and camaraderie of a marketing communications agency?
About the Position
BBK Worldwide’s pioneering vision has made us the global leader in patient recruitment and engagement for the clinical research and development industry. The patients who participate in clinical research studies are challenged by diseases or medical conditions that significantly impact their quality of life. The Patient Experience Concierge plays an essential role in helping these patients by helping to eliminate barriers to clinical trial participation — such as concerns about distance, costs, language, and cultural influences — for study participants and those considering participation, as well as for their caregivers and loved ones.
The Patient Experience Concierge supports a portfolio of clinical studies working directly with physician practices to triage and manage patient travel needs and other patient engagement requests. The Concierge is responsible for understanding the research objectives along with the special needs of the various clinical trial patient participants, and for ensuring that support services are appropriate for the needs of each study and participant.
This position lives at the intersection of customer service, quality management, and patient recruitment and engagement. The ideal candidate is operational, organized, efficient and talented, and has natural communications and interpersonal skills. He or she also enjoys a team-based, collaborative approach to performing job responsibilities.
The ideal candidate:
-
Possesses strong communications and customer support skills.
-
Has experience with online and automated communications systems.
-
Is successful in a collaborative, team-based workplace.
-
Has worked within a healthcare and / or hospitality setting, the clinical trial research and development industry, or the field of patient recruitment or patient engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
-
Providing day-to-day operational support to study site staff whose patients require travel — local, regional, or international — related to clinical trial treatment.
-
Directing and quality controlling the efforts of BBK’s partner companies who support request fulfillment.
-
Providing training and orientation for medical professional users of the company’s proprietary patient engagement request management system.
-
Collaborating with BBK team members on clinical trial patient recruitment and engagement program communications.
